Ryan Jay’s passion for event and floral design took root at an early age. Weekends at his grandmother’s house became a stage for his creativity, where he enthusiastically planned themed "parties" for his cousins and siblings.
His passion was continuously fueled by working in the wedding and event industry for over a decade. Ryan’s approach to design is a fusion of art, architecture, and emotion. With a background in both creative expression and structural design, he brings a refined, sculptural elegance to every design. As the lead designer of Navy & Jay, he seamlessly marries form and florals, crafting bespoke designs that breathe life into spaces and celebrations. More than a florist, Ryan is a visionary—transforming petals and stems into evocative works of art. His designs are not bound by themes but are guided by feeling, ensuring that every creation tells a unique and deeply personal story.
“A question I often get asked is, "Who is Navy and who is Jay?" In short, Navy & Jay is me. Navy represents elegance and taste, qualities that lead our designs. Jay, on the other hand, is a middle name passed down through generations in my family. Given to me by my father, who has been a model of hard work and genuine love for others, I proudly carry that name and those ethos in my business. The support from my family has been unwavering, and I like to joke that Navy & Jay is truly a family business. And let’s be honest, Navy & Jay does have a handsome ring to it, doesn’t it?” -RJP
